The Countdown is ON!

Four more days until I am on sweet, glorious vacation for 2 weeks. You don't know how happy I am to be off of work for a little over 2 weeks. Seriously good times! I can't wait. :)

Not much new with me. Trying to finish up a bunch of stuff at work before I leave on vacation. Joe is doing the same and the kids are finishing up their last week with our daycare provider. It really is making me (and Livi!) sad. Darn school board. We are all trying our hardest to find a solution so that they can go back to her in September. Cross your crossables.. not only is it cheaper but they totally love it there and I know they are the most capable hands.

Brendan is still hardcore soccer guy (he scored another goal Friday...yeah!) and Olivia FINALLY scored her first goal last week. Thank goodness. The girl was so upset and resorting to just telling everyone she scored so that she could just say she'd scored. LOL!

I will try and stop by before I go on vacation. If not, I'll be sure to have some pictures to post once I can get to a computer..... :)

I'll leave you with a newlayout:

And some pictures of my soccer stars!

Have a great week everyone! w.

Reveal Day at Scrap Schemes

We had some fun colour inspiration to work with for our 2nd DT reveal at Scrap Schemes. Here is what I came up with:

Be sure to head on over and have a look at the inspiration piece! Shawna is offering up a Schemes prize to those who complete a layout by July 20th.

Nothing much new in our world. Work is LONNNGGG these days and I think it's because the vacation countdown is on. 8 more days....8 more days and then we can relax for a few weeks. Sounds very good to me.

Kids are great! Weather is super hot! No complaints here.

Happy Scrapping!

Camping & Canada Day

It's been a bit since my last post but we went camping last weekend for 4 days. And it truly took me almost a week to recover! If there's one thing I've learned from our camping trip is that I'm truly a city girl! lol

The good news is that despite all the rain, the kids had a blast and we enjoyed being together. We went into Kingston for a end-of-school/you-passed treat on Saturday at Chuck E Cheese. The kids were quite impressed and the food wasn't nearly as bad as I expected it to be! We got to see fireworks on the beach on Sunday too which was really beautiful.
We spent a low-key Canada Day after our camping trip at BIL's house. We spent lots of time in the swimming pool and enjoyed a nice BBQ.

Besides that, not tons new with us. I do have some good news to report but you'll have to wait a bit for that. ;) Vacation countdown is ON! 2 weeks from today and we'll be on our way....can't wait. :)

I'll leave you with some pictures from Canada Day and our camping trip.
And some new layouts:
Happy Scrapping!

Scrap Schemes DT Reveal

We had our first DT reveal on Monday! What a talented group of artists! Be sure to stop by the Scrap Schemes blog to see the very first piece of inspiration! And even better, Shawna is offering up some blog candy!!

Here is my layout based on the first piece of inspiration:

In other news, tomorrow is the last day of school and the kids are excited! Both of them got fabulous report cards and I'm so proud of them.

Funny thing happened last night - Olivia insisted that she had a loose tooth (I personally thought she was trying to be like her big brother) and I gave her tooth a wiggle to make her happy and guess what?! She definately has a loose tooth - and the best part is that it's the same one as the one Brendan just lost. Too funny! Can you say "scrapbook layout"??

Only 3 weeks until vacation....totally can't wait!

Until next time....:)

A lost tooth, a soccer goal & a punch!

Brendan sure had a busy Friday last week. Not only did he have a little incident on the schoolbus (which we totally support b/c the boy was defending himself!), but he scored his first soccer goal and lost his first tooth. I'm not sure which made Brendan more happier. :)

He lost his tooth at school. Which meant that he got to go to the office and get a tooth necklace to put his tooth in and keep it safe until he could get home. Here he is in all his glory:

How cute is that face? Being one of the youngest in his class, you wouldn't believe how long he's been waiting to join the "Lost Tooth" Club. He's got 2 more loose teeth and he's been yanking on them to speed up the process. :)

I've got some layouts to share but I'll upload them soon after I get them resized and off the camera. In the meantime, be sure to stop by the brand new Scrap Schemes challenge blog tomorrow for the first challenge reveal (and the DT's work!). It's going to be a lot of fun. I hope you'll join us there for bi-weekly fun!

That's it for me! Until next time..... :)

Some good news!

I am excited to announce that I've been chosen to be a member of the Scrap Schemes Design Team!

Scrap Schemes is a great new challenge blog created by Shawna Webster. Every other week, a new Scheme will be posted and the DT will reveal their interpretation of the Scheme. Sounds like a good time to me! I hope to see you there. :)
