Happy Birthday Sweet Girl!

Olivia,

It totally boggles my mind how, already, you are turning 6 years old today. You are already in Grade One with a huge thirst for education and knowledge. You love to play Littlest Pet Shop and you're getting into Barbies now. You've always loved music but you are starting to trade in Fred Penner for songs by Katy Perry or other 'grown up' music. You love to speak French, you love to be with your friends and you are always smiling. You really are a happy little girl with a huge heart.

On this day, I reminisce on bittersweet days that have passed. However, like you, I look forward to watching you grow up.

I hope you have a wonderful Fairy birthday party with your friends today. I really want you to enjoy yourself and remember this special day.

I love you more than I could ever put into words. You make me so happy and proud of you each and every day. I love you Baby Girl.

xoxo

2 more days

Until my sweet baby girl turns 6! They aren't joking when they say that time flies. I am really at a loss for words when it comes to her growing up so quickly. She really is a wonderful girl.....I love watching her grow. I hope her party on Saturday is everything she wants her birthday party to be. I hope she has lots of fun with her friends and really enjoys them. That would be perfect. :)

So there's been lots of Fairy-themed birthday party planning going on over here. I think I pretty much have everything under control. Joe has found some great fairy/princess music for the girls. There's even Hannah Montana and High School Musical thrown in for good measure! I have to grab a few last minute things today and I think we're good to go. It'll be Saturday before we know it!

In Brendan news, the big boy has lost yet another tooth. That's THREE since school ended in June. He seriously looks like he's been on the losing end of a brawl with a top, big tooth gone now. I chuckle sometimes when he's talking to me or he makes a face and I see the missing teeth. I'll post a picture of that handsome face soon.

Have you stopped by So Sketchy! today? Ally has posted another awesome sketch - this one 12 x 6! I love mixing it up in that size. It's quick and easy and fun to work with. Here is my layout with the September #6 Sketch:

Supplies: Basic Grey pp/diecuts/stickers/brads; Heidi Swapp chipboard alpha; Colorbox ink; AC Slick writer; Sharpie white pen

Until next time!

Enjoy the Silence.....

After working yesterday, doing tons of errands, millions of loads of laundry and deep cleaning the house......we took a break this afternoon. Or rather, I took a break while Olivia went to a friend's birthday party and Joe took Brendan skating.

It's always nice to have a few hours of "me" time. I decided to finish a layout I started sometime this week. I used the yummy SEI Poppy line. Didn't think I'd love these papers but once I saw them used on a few layouts I knew I had to have them!

Here is my layout:

Not too much new going on with us. We've got a couple of meetings for the kids this week at school and church. We're also getting ready for Livi's Fairy birthday party next Saturday. A whole bunch of little girls in tutus and fairy wings....I can't wait! There should be some fun pictures to scrap after next weekend.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday! I know I will.

Some news.....

I was asked to join the Design Team over at We Scrap! Be sure to come on over and check out this awesome site!

I'm looking forward to getting to know my way over there and getting familiar with the members. :)

Besides that, just trying to get back into a school routine since heading back. I've been trying to scrap but I'm usually so tired by 9 or 10 that I head to bed!

So, a quick post tonight and I'll definately be back soon and add some pictures I took from the wedding we went to last weekend.

Also, if you're looking for a Design Team, Scrap Schemes is having a DT Call! Check it out for all the details. The challenges are a lot of fun and Shawna is lots of fun to work with.

Lost Teeth & Back to School!

We've had a busy day in our home. Firstly, the kids went back to school. Olivia is in a 1/2 split class with Mrs. Hopkins and Brendan is in a straight Grade 2 class with Miss Kenna. He was really happy to get her and thinks she's "pretty awesome". I'm hoping they both do great this year! Olivia isn't with her buddy Michael Anthony this year. In the past years, they've been inseparable. We'll see what happens!

We had a bit of a new routine this year, as we have no school buses. so, we took the kids to school for thier first day. Tomorrow we'll drop them off at the sitter's home first and I'll go to work. We'll get in a routine soon enough. :)

Secondly, Brendan lost a 2nd tooth tonight on our drive back from doing errands. He's super excited and thinks the tooth fairy will leave "something like 20 bucks or so....". Sorry buddy...not on your life! LOL

I'll leave you with pics of Olivia's first lost tooth (which happened last Friday at Nanny's after eating some Cheerios for breakfast!) and some of the kids' first day of school. And a few new poses of Livi thrown in for good measure.

You're probably looking at Olivia's socks and wondering what the heck... Well, it was her choice and she thought it looked great. Who am I to argue with a fashion statement? ;)
Thanks for stopping by.

Back in the Nest.... :)

The baby chicks are back home in Mama Bird's nest. Right where they should be. I sure did miss them. I missed the funny things they say, I missed their hugs....(I didn't miss the sibling rivalry!).

I've spent a good part of the day today getting them organized for school tomorrow. We're good to go I think. I'll have lots of pictures to post soon - first day of school and Olivia's first lost tooth!

I don't have much to say today but I'll leave you with a new layout that I created just for fun. After I completed it, I realized that I took inspiration (sub-consciously!) from a recent layout Melanie posted on her blog of baby Brianna, as well as from a layout posted by Jana Eubank on her blog. Perhaps that's why I love it so much. Either way - thanks for the unintended inspiration ladies. :)

Back soon with new pics! :)
