Lazy Saturday....

It's been a while since we've had a "lazy" Saturday. The only thing happening today is that Joe has a baseball tournament. The three of us are just hanging out and being lazy. It's a nice change from the usual hectic pace of our weekends.

Down time means more scrapping for me!! I completed two layouts last night. I was thinking about them all day at work and I was so happy to get home after soccer and create! Both of these layouts feature two of the latest collections by Crate Paper - Brook (all elements) and Pink Plum. On the layout of Olivia, I used Pink Plum's embellishments to go with the Cottage Collection line of paper. They complimented each other so well! I am so inspired by dark pink, teal and yellow right now. These lines are right up my alley.

Thanks for stopping by for the visit. I'm off to change bed sheets and then edit some photos from my mini-photoshoot with the kids this morning.

Happy Saturday everyone! :)

Cheers,

Crate Paper goodness!

Do you ever take a moment to go through your blog posts and admire the words, layouts and pictures? I find it so nostalgic and a reminder of how quickly tiem flies. In honour of this 'review', I've pulled a punch of Crate Paper layouts that I've done. Crate Paper's products are so versatile and inspirational. I literally stalk the LSS when I know a new collection of Crate Paper is on its way. :) My favourite product has to be the collection packs. It is so convenient to just grab one of these collections and have everything you need to get your scrap on and create!

Here they are:
"Bman Gone Wild" was a runner-up winning layout in Crate Paper's first ever blog contest. What an honour!

Can't get enough of the Brook line! From girl-themed layouts, boy layouts, hockey championships and religious events....this paper is awesome for so many projects!

Below is a layout I created with the Pink Plum collection - my prize for being a runner-up in the Crate contest. Thank you CP!!

Thanks for taking this trip down memory lane with me! Hope you enjoyed it.
Happy Tuesday everyone!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to all the wonderful fathers/daddies out there! I may be a little biased but my children have been blessed with the most amazing father in the world. And I have been blessed with a husband who shows his children, most importantly unconditional love.

Happy Father's Day to the man who:
- never complains about getting up at 6:00 a.m. on a Saturday to take Brendan to hockey
- volunteers his time on parent council at school so that he can be a part of our children's
education.
- shows our children that hard work, family and love is what you truly need to be live a fulfilling
life.
- stepped up and coached Olivia's soccer team this year because without a volunteer, her team
would fold and she couldn't play soccer this summer. And he would not let that happen. It took
him about a minute to hit the "reply" button to offer his help.
- does housework, makes dinner, helps with showers and school lunches and so much more
without even thinking twice.
- affectionately calls Olivia his Princess Poohbear and in turn, gets a whopping grin every time
from his girl.
- who knows when we need a hug
- is my own personal human calculator
- works the hockey bench door when he notices the coaches are shorthanded.
- despite being a little tone deaf and somewhat uncoordinated, doesn't hesistate to play along
with Olivia and learn/practice her dance moves.
- brings home little surprises every once in a while which are so thoughtful and completely
unexpected.
- works from home a few times a week so the kids can sleep in if they want and go to school
much later than when I take them to daycare.
- loves him family.

I could go on and on but I think you get the idea. :) Happy Father's Day to all the real men who know what it takes to be an amazing father and who would do anything for their children.

I love you Joe.
xoxo

My poor neglected blog!

...though something has to give. It's crazy busy time at work, Joe is playing baseball, Livi is playing soccer once a week and Bman has soccer 3 times a week plus hockey for a few more weeks. Busy = Yes! Some things have naturally been neglected. Like my blog!

Just popping on quick to post some layouts that I've done in the last little while. Hope you enjoy!

Yes - that's actually me in a layout! Don't be too shocked. I find it so difficult to scrap me and I'm my own worst critic!

Thanks for stopping by! :)

Some Thrift Shop & Brook

Feeling a bit under the weather but wanted to post a couple of layouts I did lat weekend. Used the delicious Brook Collection from Crate Paper for this one:
This layout is about the amazing weekend we had a few weeks ago - Olivia did her First Communion and Brendan's hockey team won the championship. Definately a fun time!
This layout is about my girl on her special day. I used October Afternoon's Thrift Shop. Seriously amazing paper. I'm in love with that line!

I'm off to veg and watch American Idol. It's almost Friday............. :)

I Think I'm in Love....

....with this piece of paper:

From October Afternoon's "Fly a Kite" Collection - called "Ice Cream". Well, I'm definately willing to scream for it. It might not be healthy but.....what can I say. This piece of gorgeous, colourful paper excites me. Coming to a scrappy layout near you very shortly. :)

Life is busy, hence my lack of posting lately. It's busy time at work, kids are in their activities, etc and I haven't been scrapping much. Going to take some time tonight and really get into a page. Perfect way to de-stress.

Besides the usual kid stuff, we had a pretty exciting weekend around here last weekend. Olivia did her First Communion. She looked beautiful, she was wonderful and we are so proud of her. Pictures to come soon. On the same morning, Brendan and his amazing hockey team won the championship final and took first place in their division. It was beyond amazing. These boys were middle of the pack all year - like in 10th or 12th place. They played their hearts out all playoff long and rewarded with being the champions! The score of the final game was 1-0. I think the parents were more stressed than the kids! The best part - Bman got a breakaway and hit the post but his defence partner picked up the rebound and popped it in! His first goal of the season. The defencemen don't score a lot of goals in this age bracket so it was super cool to see Brendan and Craig get that goal. I love how proud the whole team was of themselves and it was so well deserved. They'll get a banner to hang in their home arena and were awarded medals. Pictures of that to come soon too. :)

Off to find some photos to go with that delicious piece of paper goodness.......

Thanks for the visit.
