Can it be VACATION every week?!

Ahhh....now wouldn't that be nice?

I'm really enjoying my week at home with the kids. It's nice to relax and just enjoy them. No need for schedules or things that need to be done. We can relax and do whatever we feel like. :)

We've had a busy week so far. We went to the zoo on Tuesday with my friend Tami, her Mom and 2 neices. The girls had a lot of fun together. Brendan actually let Tami (and me) take some photos of him! I didn't have my camera but Tami was kind enough to use hers. This is one of my fave shots:

You might not realize what a big deal is 1) for me to post a picture of myself and 2) for B-Man to take a photo with me. But for both reasons, it really is a big deal. :)

Yesterday we went to my Mom and Dad's and hung out there. We had big plans to go swimming today but Brendan wasn't feeling too great today so we just hung out here and made a quick trip to Walmart. Besides that, we've been taking in the sun, getting some back-to-school shopping down and just enjoying the rest of summer!

I'll leave you with my latest layout for So Sketchy! DT:

Supplies: Bazzill; Basic Grey pp/stickers/chipboard/diecuts/rubs/brads; Ranger ink; Imaginesce bling; brad; Making memories die cut sheet

That's it for me! back with some new layouts once I get the pictures off my camera.

So Sketchy Real

August's So Sketchy! #4 Sketch was revealed today. So much fun! Here is my take on it:

Supplies: Coredinations c/s; Basic Grey pp/alpha stickers/die cuts; Fancy Pants chipboard; Prima flowers; AC Slick writer; Tulip puffy paint; Colorbox ink; Imaginesce brads; white sharpie.

Not much new going on here. I am DYING for the weekend to get here. Going back to work after vacation is always hard. Even Brendan has started to sleep in which makes it hard to get them up and ready for day camp.

In daycare news, Joe and I interviewed a WONDERFUL lady yesterday for before and afterschool care for the kids. She's a dream come true. The kids already knew her from her involvement at school, they know all the other daycare kids who go there, the lady had great answers to our questions and besides all of that good stuff...her rates are SO reasonable! I can't wait for them to start there. :)

In other news, Brendan has started to call me Mama again. He used to do it when he was younger (and Livi still does) but it's been a LONG time since I've heard that sweet word from his mouth. I may just have to do a layout about that.

Oh.....and Melanie & Dan are bringing home their new baby girl today. So exciting. I can't wait to see Brianna again (especially with her big sister Danika!).

Enjoy the rest of your week!

Baby Brianna

Today is an absolutely wonderful day (even if I did have to head back to work after vacation)!! One of my very good friends gave birth to a healthy baby girl this morning. Melanie, I am so excited and happy for you. You are making me tear up in joy a lot today girl!! Scrapbooking brought Melanie and I together about 4 years ago and it has been so wonderful to share in the pregnancy and arrival of Brianna .

Personally, my family has suffered a huge loss in the last few weeks. (I won't go into detail as I feel stuff like that isn't something I should be sharing on my blog. ) I definately haven't been in the best spirits as there is a lot on my mind. However, having Melanie call today and tell me that her baby was here, they were both healthy and she had another beautiful girl really helped me to feel better. Life goes on and it's so wonderful when a baby is there to help you remember how special and beautiful life is.

So......thank you for that Mel. Congratulations to you, Dan and big sister Danika. I absolutely ADORE her name and I so can't wait to meet her in person and give you a big old hug. (Ahh! I'm tearing up again!).

Vacation Pics

Thought I would share a few.... I took over 500 pictures so you can imagine how hard it was to whittle it down to a few! LOL
I took tons of scenery photos as well but I think that's enough for tonight. I've shared my fave scenic photo of the Old Clock on Citadel Hill in Halifax. The rest I've shared are of my fave subjects - Brendan and Olivia.

Thanks for taking a peek. :)
